Welcome To My Art Side

<Taps mic>

Loud feedback makes us all cringe for a moment.

Sorry about that. Clearly still getting our bearings.

The piercing sting reverberates in our ears a moment longer before a silence falls over the crowd.

<Crickets>

Welcome to six for ten.

My pixilated space in which to share my artistic creations (mainly paintings and prints, but also precisely laden words which may also tickle your neurons from time to time), and if I’m lucky, convince you I have just the piece you’re looking for (or that you could make it on your own).

And if I don’t, well keep coming back. I may not have it yet, but it will be sure to arrive as the rain in a monsoon. And if after time has aged us more than the current US political climate and you don’t find something, well Susan, I hate to break it to you, you’re picky as fuck…

…and that’s okay.

To be fair, I am too. You’re in good company. So thanks for being here either way, whether you’re a silent supporter, a past, present, or future patron, or just a curious bystander observing the growing landscape of this space.

Some transparency so you can decide if my art is right for you:  First, I’m a trained Reiki Master and intentionally charge my paints with healing energy. [That does not mean my works cure any ailments and I make no claims as such.] Second, I use and incorporate tarot cards into a lot of my work/existing as a human process. I love tarot cards. They can help be the inspiration for specific pieces, themes, and blog posts. I am deeply fascinated by Jungian psychology, the archetypal imagery contained within each card and deck, and the activation of the intuition and imagination to create connections, meaning, subconscious excavation, and maybe a spot of fortune-be-told.

For those of you who choose to remain after that paragraph, I appreciate you. For those that do not, may you find the art you seek! And remember: art is political; art is revolutionary; art is transformative; and art is necessary. Art is what we need in the world now more than ever. So even if you don’t resonate with mine, please, find art you do resonate with, make your own—support the arts in any way you can!

Imposter syndrome be damned, this year I’m calling on confidence and bravery to put my art “out there”. So join in, stay tuned, and tag along for my artistic adventures, unsolicited opinions, and lessoned learned along the way.

Happy FArting without the F!
